Default People Moving From GW -> Aion -> GW again

So recently I've been seeing a lot of my friends who I used to group with who picked up Aion around again. Also its not just one or two, its heaps who say they've quit it for good, not just re-living the good ol' days.

So out of curiosity is Aion really that bad? I never picked up a copy so share your experiences.

Yes.

I'll leave it to others to explain why in detail, but in essence it's the same old same old: insane amounts of grinding, and crappy PvP/endgame. Massive numbers of bots, account hackings, goldspammers, the buggy official forums, the initial server queues and then the resulting dead servers with no server transfers, and poor customer relations didn't do the game any favours either.

You know I loved Aion when I first got it. I cancelled EQ2 and didn't play GW. Only Aion. There is so much to like about it. The graphics, story and everything. What ruined it for me was trying to do the Spy missions. The oh so smart guildies said do it alone it's easier. So off I'd go to Asmo land and get ganked over and over. Now I know that's a part of PvP but what was the final nail was millions of kinah to get good armor and to even level your craft!!! So without decent armor no chance to survive. That and not enough quests.

I don't know I hope Visions of Aion fixes it because I'd love to try it again someday. Not to mention I'm still not sure if my GW account got hacked because of Aion

It's to bad really because it had a ton of potential. I've never ever seen a more beautiful game.

Read this thread. Note that the people who once loved the game now speak of how bad it is. They got caught up in the hype, and the graphics, not knowing what they were getting into until their money was long gone. By the time they actually found out what the game has to offer (or what it doesn't have, really), it was far too late for their wallets.

People moved from...

GW -> Fury -> GW -> AoC -> GW -> Warhammer -> GW -> Aion -> GW.

I don't quite see a trend..

Aion the RMT revenge. Allow you to hack other account games.

It's was never a WoW-killer, when we had the name Aion before release on Cabal Online. The things are people says:

-Nice graphics ehh?
-You think it is worth replacment for WoW?

WoW-killer was never named, it is pure hype. Bribing reviews. And full of account rdy to invade forums to cause hypes. The things is why does moderator support them? It ensure they are no different than being 100 % business persons. But that is what the all games get. No good player are going to play for sure.

lack of arena PvP killed it for me. Dredgion is pvpve 3 times a day... oh wait, you can get into JQ 3 times a day with wait times, with 2 opposing teams trying to accomplish the same goals...
